Self Portriat

For our Self-Portrait project we were to take three self-portraits. They were all to be in black and white, and they were all to capture a mood of some sort. We were also challenged to be as artistic as possible, and stay as far away from normal, cliche portraits that we see on personal pages etc. as possible. One had to use the rule of thirds as the base for the composition; One had to incorporate leading lines, and one had to be taken from a more extreme angle

The portrait that was the most successful was the leading lines one.because the subject was just at the right distance.Next time i will try to be more creative with my portraits.
Overall i feel that it was an OK out come in my part because i know that i could have done better.

Contact Sheet

I think that this contact sheet actually came out pretty well. I think that I did a good job arranging the pictures & putting in the tittle of the pictures. Next time it could be better if I add all of the pictures to the sheet. I think that the best pictures in there are my macro pictures. Also they make the contact sheet stand out even more. That is why macro is one of my favorite compositional tricks

Crop

Well in this picture I used the crop tool make the railing on the right seem shorter. I like the cropped picture more because it changes the picture a bit. First of all i cut off a little bit off of the right side and then made a white border.

Extereme Angles

To take this picture i actually had to get on my knees on the hot concrete. What i like about this picture is the color and shades of grey. To make this picture better i could of had the model have a different facial expression & pose. Extreme angles affect the view of the photograph because it is from an angle that is not regularly seen or observed.

MACRO

Macro is a function in a camera that focuses on one thig and blurrs out the rest of the picture. which the icon for MACRO is a flower.

Depth of fields is when You are a very few inches away from your subject and you auto focus an your camera by holding the shutter half way down.

Macro would best compositional trick of my choice because it makes the picture way better and more focused.I especially likes these pictures because is just enhances the picture way more by making it better.

Leading Lines

Well basically leading lines are the lines in a picture that take you in to , out , or to the subject of the picture. In my picture the leading lines are the rails. Which are taking your attention to the beautiful landscaping.

Rule Of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds Is When on the screen of your camera is Split in to thirds horizontally and vertically. Then you place your main focus where the lines cross. Well I am not so sure if it is completely on the crossing point but my main subject is on the bottom left corner.
